I provide medical consultation on all health related issues from birth to 21 years of age. Newborns come in regularly every 3 months for growth evaluation and vaccinations. On these visits, they are assessed for developmental issues with an objective screening done at 9 and 18 months. In addition a MCHAT screen is performed at 18-24 month visits. I see them additionally if the baby is sick for any reason. I also see a lot of second consultations of acute and chronic childhood health problems.
School age kids come once in 2 years. They get a growth and medical assessment as needed. Developmental assessment at this age is done by to cognitive assessments. We offer Woodcock Johnson 4 testing – a psychometric test which helps with the diagnosis of Learning disability as well as cognitive strengths in children who have had brain injury, in clinic for kids 4yrs and above.
Teenagers – A comprehensive health assessment is offered to adolescent age group. It includes vaccinations and lifestyle choices. Cognitive and career assessment is also available.
